Introducing Tilly Flo's Cakes

Wedding cakes have come a long way since the traditional Royal Iced fruitcakes!


Couples now have the pleasure of picking the design, style and taste of the cake that that tells the story of their relationship, and which incorporates beautiful touches to make their Wedding Cake as unique and personal as them.


Tilly Flo's Cakes are a work of art.


Jess uses buttercream icing to design cakes that are adorned with fresh flowers, macarons, meringues and an abundance of edible gold leaf to make them stand out from the crowd!


Tell me about your Business… and a little bit about YOU - How, why and when you started


In November 2010 after the birth of my second child, I started making cupcakes.

What started out as a few Dinosaur cupcakes for a friends son’s birthday party has now evolved into Tilly Flo’s Cakes - a bespoke, unique creative take on all things sweet!


How did you learn your skills?


Having honed my skills over the years (I am self taught), I feel lucky enough to create cakes and biscuits from my own kitchen based in Malvern.


As a former art student, I see the cakes I make as works of art - they are mostly buttercream, using fresh flowers, macarons, meringues and an abundance of edible gold leaf to make them stand out from the crowd.


Tell us about your workspace?


I offer consultations with all couples who choose me to make their wedding cake, and a sample box of yummy cakes to try in the comfort of their own home.


Why you love your business


The most rewarding part of my job is not only creating for a living, but seeing the reaction of customers when they first see their cake - be it a mini birthday cake or a four-tier wedding cake.



What do you love most about working in or designing products for the wedding industry?


I am forever inspired by other cake artists and feel a great part of the Instagram community where I connect with other ‘cakers’ all of whom give me fresh ideas and support in what we do.
