Have you Ever been to a wedding fair...
Updated: Feb 19
... and once inside been massively underwhelmed by the rows and rows of 6ft trestle tables clothed in creased white table cloths and littered with leaflets?
I have, and it wasn't great!
Let me introduce myself…
I am Becci, owner of RubyBelle Events, Wife, Mummy to two beautiful girls and of course lover of a good Wedding!
In 2018 after many (many!) years of working in a variety of beautiful hotels and Exclusive Wedding Venues across the UK organising their weddings and wedding fairs, I began to realise that Wedding fairs (which once were the go to Event for Wedding planning) suddenly seemed to be boring, samey and uninspiring.
Traditional Wedding fairs, especially in large venues, can be very daunting places for both for the businesses trying to showcase their business, products and services, but also for the couples attending.
For the couple this maybe the very first Wedding Fair they have attended since becoming engaged, and they find themselves welcomed into a venue only offering couples THEIR recommended suppliers who (because they were already in with the venue) just showcase table after table of leaflets or Lycra chair covers (which we absolutely hate!) not really showcasing anyway real creativity, style OR enthusiasm!
This is not a great start to wedding planning as it does not make it easy to understand what these wedding businesses can offer to them, they also feel bombarded by these businesses who have no other means of describing their products or services without THE LEAFLETS because of the format of a Traditional Wedding Fair!
So I decided that enough was enough and it was time to give the Wedding Industry a rather large nudge!
It was time to show how the industry had been evolving over time, and to introduce couples to the types of suppliers who put their heart and soul into their business, in order to help couples to plan the Wedding that they want, that is personal to them!
RubyBelle Events are passionate about organising inspirational Wedding Events that support and showcase hand-selected LOCAL artisan makers, giving them visibility to SELL their bespoke creations directly to couples, whilst entwining them with specialist traditional Wedding Suppliers, to produce truly bespoke events that will ensure the couples personality can shine through on their Wedding Day!
Weddings are not about spending the least amount of money, or the most amount of money, they are about spending good money on the elements that are most important to you and your partner Kristi Richardson, Bloomed to last
We held our First Wedding Event at Bobbypins Hair & Beauty Salon on 24th February 2019 (See the Blog Post HERE), and are looking forward to introducing you to all the fabulous Artisan Makers, Designers and fabulous Wedding Suppliers at the first Artisan Wedding Market on Sunday 29th September!
