Where it all began...

My love of Weddings really began in the Summer of 2006. Having worked on some large-scale event modules in my Marketing and Events Management degree the bug of Weddings and Events took hold!
I contacted a local Wedding Planner, the lovely Dawn, and asked her if I could spend the summer with her, getting work experience for the Weddings she was involved in.
She kindly agreed and I can hand on heart say this was the most fun I’ve ever had working during the summer months!

My Own Wedding Plans!

In 2009 I became not only a Wedding Coordinator but also a Bride! It’s both a help and a hindrance to work in the Wedding Industry because it really focuses your mind on what you do and what you definitely do not want!

After helping to organise so many Weddings that followed the same trends, (I got married at the time of Chair Covers & Chocolate Fountains!!) I knew I wanted to ensure that we focused on what was important about our Wedding Day, rather than just about the day itself.

I contacted a lady who I found on Facebook, to discuss jewellery for my wedding. The communication was great via email and I was so pleased to be able to chat through with her the details of my colour scheme and wedding elements. I wanted her to understand what I had envisioned to ensure that the hairpiece and bracelet would be perfect for my wedding.
It wasn't until the pieces were complete and I had paid her, that I started to worry about the jewellery. What if, when it arrived it wasn't what I wanted? What if I wasted my money? How do I know she took into account all of the elements I wanted to include?
Of course, when the jewellery arrived I love it and it was as perfect as the vision in my head, but it had given me an idea!

Wedding Coordinator Life!

Over the years I have worked in a variety of Hotels and absolutely stunning Wedding Venues!
As a wedding coordinator, planning the yearly wedding fair was by far my most favourite part of the job!
But I always felt that something was missing. I realised that what traditional wedding fairs lacked was the originality and individuality brought by independent, creative, small businesses.

So in 2018, I began making it my mission to change the way Wedding fairs are designed, and using the skills, influence, and contacts from working in the wedding industry, I set about creating RubyBelle Events and the concept of a Wedding Market.

Wedding Market's with a local touch

I am passionate about supporting creative Wedding businesses from the Midlands. I curate inspiring Events that not only showcase traditional wedding suppliers but the talented local artisan makers, designers, and creative small businesses who help couples inject more of their personality into their Wedding Day, right down to the very smallest, personal touches and details.
My Wedding Markets' have creative energy that comes directly from the passion of the artisan suppliers I support. They are an alternative wedding event. An inspiring marketplace where suppliers can meet wedding couples and where those couples leave feeling enthused and supported. It’s a space that wholeheartedly encourages individuality, embraces creativity, and thrives on personal interactions.

Personally, I love to shop locally. I love the pride that small business owners have for their products. Products that have been created with their heart and soul, from their kitchen table or home studio rather than a large faceless factory.
I strongly believe your wedding day must be about YOU. This is why I work with suppliers who can produce bespoke products and one-of-a-kind pieces that are made for you.

“Becci’s hard work and thorough understanding of the wedding industry is second to none. Her latest fayre, The Artisan Wedding Market, was so incredibly well researched, designed, organised and marketed – she really does put the other fayre organisers in the shadow.

“Becci put together one of the most amazing events I have attended and been part of.

Becci took the time to meet each of the suppliers before the event, and made us all feel included and welcomed.
